Adventure Base Master Plan

We are excited to be able to share this master plan for the Adventure Base with you!

Adventure Plus has been at the forefront of providing quality adventure activities to children for 30 years. Founded in 1990 by Jon and Tessa Cox, Adventure Plus provides adventure holidays, school residentials, DofE expeditions, Team Building and other exciting events to inspire and encourage young people (and adults) in Oxfordshire and across the UK.

Now based at Windmill Farm in Clanfield, West Oxfordshire, A+ is actively engaged in creating the Adventure Base, a unique outdoor facility with ‘indoor camping’ in our ‘Cosy Timber Yurt Village’. The Adventure Base will enable us to welcome many more young people every year. Check out our progress towards the Adventure Base here.

Located just 90 minutes from Birmingham and London – and even closer to Oxford, Swindon, Gloucester and Bristol. We will be able to provide life-changing opportunities, and ‘Affordable Accessible Adventures’, for over 15,000 young people every year- in a positive Christian Environment.

Conservation & Environmental Education

At Adventure Plus, we are passionate about outdoor education, environmental conservation and adventure activities.

In association with A Rocha UK, our conservation and environmental programs will help connect urban groups with the countryside whilst teaching these groups about food sources and local farming.

We will transform this intensively farmed site using native planting, tree corridors, wetlands, reed beds, a hill and a new lake. These developments will replace the current monoculture and improve biodiversity across the site.

The Adventure Plus conservation team will offer practical conservation days and educational activities for all ages, including volunteer weekends to help with the large-scale tasks ahead of us. These include tree-planting, stream and ditch-clearing and hedge-laying. Contact the conservation team to stay informed of upcoming volunteer events.
