We are blessed with an involved board of directors who help to steer and guide the business as we develop our Adventure Base in Oxfordshire. Yearly, we host a Directors day open to our supporters where the whole team reports on the year’s progress and we celebrate together in fellowship and plan for the following year.

James is a Chartered Building Surveyor and volunteers to help with existing buildings and new construction. James is a Scout Leader and enjoys running, walking and all things outdoors.

Sam works in private equity and investment and volunteers with Adventure Plus to assist with financial planning and projects.

Andrew has been deeply connected to Adventure Plus since the age of 12. He first attended Total Adventure summer camps before joining the full-time team for his gap year, where he met his two best friends and built lifelong friendships with many others.
Along with his deep passion for Adventure Plus and spreading the word, Andrew brings leadership experience in sales, revenue, strategy, operations, and training with a background in corporate commercial transformation.
His passion is people and how mindset, behaviour, and enablement drive business performance.

Company Secretary and Solicitor

Tessa has brought her experience in youth work and professional expertise as a solicitor – and mother of 4, to the development of the charity since it’s inception.
Tessa was also Finance Manager at A+ and A+ Hospitality for many years.
Although now working independently, also as a Notary Public, Tessa continues to support our work as Company Secretary and a Director of A+ Hospitality.

Executive Director and Founder A+

Having worked as a health teacher in Sudan, Jon went on to study Environmental Sciences at King’s London, before founding A+: to encourage young people to ‘embrace the Adventure of Faith‘. 
We are developing a cutting edge Adventure Base in Oxfordshire, he occasionally still gets out to put his Level 4 Canoe and Kayak Coach qualifications, or Mountain Leader and Climbing Instructor experience to good use. Find out more about God’s faithfulness to A+ in his book ‘Life to the Max’.
