Graham Marshall
Training Co-ordinator
Starting out as a Paramedic, Graham retrained as an Outdoor Activity Instructor in 2008 and has been on many adventures in God’s great creation since then. He moved from South Africa to join the team at A+ in 2017 and we’re so glad he did.
Siôn Lewis
Senior Instructor
Siôn studied sports and exercise science at Swansea University before coming to A+ for a gap year. He loves to get outdoors in God’s creation, especially into the mountains for climbing, walking, and skiing.
Tim King
Centre Manager
Tim lived in Africa and New Zealand before relocating to the UK in 2010. He joins Adventure Plus with over 30 years of experience working in Christian charities and organisations.
Tom Garry

Formerly a youth pastor in rural mid-Wales, Tom has joined the team with a passion to see young people realising their potential and not just staring at a screen all day. Tom’s hobbies include 1-1 chats over good coffee, watching the latest Marvel movies and singing.
Isaac Miller
TA admin and Bookings
Following on from studying Theology at University Issac worked for several years as a civilian with the US military before joining the A+ team in 2024. He enjoys sports and hiking and is happiest in nature.
Sara Martin
Marketing and Communications
Sara has a wide and varied range of skills acquired from a variety of roles and a BSc in Biochemistry. Hobbies include Photography, Beekeeping and Gaming.
Margaret Armitage
Volunteers
Having worked on the front line as a primary teacher and then Headteacher, Margaret is now our expert in all things volunteering. She loves seeing instructors passing on their skills and the young people coming back years later, some with their own young families.

Having graduated from Bangor University with a 1st class BSc Geography degree, Matt joined the team as our Conservation and Land Management Intern. He has a great love for the outdoors and spent large parts of his childhood on Dartmoor and on Devon’s beaches.

Josh completed two GAP years with us before joining the team as a full-time instructor. He took a short break from A+ to work as a bus driver but joined us again in 2022 as part of our specialist SEN team.

After training as a lifeguard, Benjie joined the gap year and continued to progress to being a full-time instructor. Benji is now an instructor with the AIM team, our specialist SEN team.

Gap Team
Emily joined the GAP team in 2023 after completing her A levels. She is training as an outdoor activity instructor and her favourite activities are archery and climbing. Emily loves collecting music and creating art. She is staying on for a second year!
Michael Greathead
Instructor
British born Mike grew up in North Carolina but in 2020 he moved back to the UK and began his instructing career as an apprentice in Northumberland. Mike joined the A+ team in 2024.

After graduating, Ruth worked in fundraising for a mission organisation, before heading out to Africa as a missionary herself for several years.

With the support of the team at Numbers Ltd Tim leads our finance team, managing donations and payroll. He is recently returned from working in Malawi.
